Frequently Asked Questions

Does my dog need to have vaccinations?

Yes!  It is a condition of my boarding/day care licence issued by Havant Borough Council that all dogs must be fully vaccinated, (including Kennel Cough).  The primary course of vaccination must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to the first day or boarding/ day care.

Do you accept puppies?

Absolutely! There are conditions though.  They will need to be fully vaccinated, (as per the above question).  They will need to have a trial visit to check they will be happy with other dogs.

What happens if my dog becomes ill?

If it's not something we feel we can treat here, If possible, we will aim to take your dog to their own vets, if this is not possible, they will be taken to our registered vets in Waterlooville.  Any vet bills will be the owners responsibility.  All vet bills will be paid by myself initially, then you will reimburse me on your return.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your dogs vaccination/vet record/book.  Your dog must arrive with a collar, lead and ID tag, anything else will be provided by us unless you would prefer to bring your dogs own, such as their bed, food, treats, harness, favourite toys.

Where will my dog sleep?

Your dog will sleep wherever they feel most comfortable.  If they are used to sleeping in a crate, please bring this with you, otherwise it can be the sofa, floor, a bed, etc.

What if my dog is on medication?

This is not a problem.  Please bring enough of the medication to last the duration of their stay along with the completed medication administer form, (this can be found under Forms & Documents).

Do you accept all breeds of dog?

Sadly, no, we are legally not allowed to take any dogs listed on the dangerous dogs act.  We also cannot accept any aggressive dogs, entire males if we have any bitches in season or any bitches in season if we have any entire males in.

Will my dog be exercised

Providing it is safe to do so we aim to carry out a 30-40 minute walk in the morning and a 20 minute walk in the afternoon.  In addition to this we will have fun and games in the garden, including sensory garden, as well as games and mental enrichment in the house too.    They will have access the garden all day to run around as much as they like!

Your dog will never be bored!

Anything else.

Please see out Policies and Procedures section for detailed information of all our operating procedures.  If I have missed anything, please feel free to contact me!
